Document Scanning Specialist

12 months (temp to hire)
Mon- Fri (3:00 PM - 11:00PM)

Overview-
Responsible for preparation of paperwork for scanning - take box of documents -take out paperclips and staples - anything keeping printer from scanning - MAIL: take mail, scan barcode - every employee will have a locker for personal belongings - when on floor no personal belongings and NO PHONESSS!! Must be able to follow instructions and accommodate new actions. Must be able to lift 30+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare documents for scanning by removing staples, paper clips, and other items that may interfere with scanning.
• Take boxes of documents and prepare them for processing.
• Scan, inspect, compile, assemble, and bind documents.
• Scan mail and barcodes as required.
• Operate KODAK scanning equipment.
• Clear basic machine jams and refill toner as needed.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and report equipment issues promptly.
• Complete paperwork accurately, timely, and legibly.
• Maintain an organized workstation to prevent errors.
• Follow customer specifications and company procedures.
• Meet production and output standards, including required Impressions Per Hour (IPH).
• Communicate any problems or issues to the manager.
• Maintain accuracy and quality while working at a fast pace.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer/PC skills.
• Basic typing skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing procedures.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and productivity.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Comfortable working in a production environment with moderate to high noise levels.
• Ability to stand for approximately 8 hours per day.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible to work different shifts, including nights, weekends, overtime, and holidays based on business needs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
